Day 3: The Secret of Your Future (Class bonus expires today)

My favorite routine after going to bed early and waking up early is...

The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine! What one attitude or habit can you eliminate right now that is hurting your ability to draw near to God and prosper? "Blessed is the man ... whose delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper." (Psalm 1:1-3)

Dear Wanda, In 2006 I bought 24 wisdom key cards from Dr. Mike Murdock. The wisdom key that hit home the most to me was "The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine!" For many years Dr. Murdock read the entire Bible every month, so it's not surprising that he founded The Wisdom Center. He says successful people do daily what unsuccessful people do occasionally. "The Greatest Salesman in the World" book says it a slightly different way - "Good habits are the key to all success." My favorite routine after going to bed early and waking up early is to lie in bed resting and reflecting in a semi-alpha state (semi dream state), partly awake, partly asleep. As I fix my eyes on Jesus and spontaneous thoughts start to come to my mind, I thank God and say, "Speak Lord, I love to listen to Your voice." Then more thoughts and images come. Sometimes I lie in bed for 30-60 minutes allowing God to speak to me Spirit to spirit. Then when I get up, I typically start journaling within 15 minutes before the Godly thoughts disappear.

Day 2: An Unhurried Life

In Chapter 5 titled An Unhurried Life, John Ortberg explains the practice of slowing.

To be spiritually healthy, you must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. What steps can you take to simplify your complicated life? "Be still and know that I AM God" (Psalm 46:10)

Dear Wanda, In his book "The Life You've Always Wanted," John Ortberg teaches spiritual disciplines for ordinary people. In Chapter 5 titled "An Unhurried Life," John explains "the practice of 'slowing'." He states that not long after moving to Chicago, he called the wisest spiritual mentor he has ever known to ask for spiritual direction. John described the pace at which things tended to move in his current setting. He told about the rhythms of his family life and the present condition of his heart. Then John asked what he needed to do to be spiritually healthy. After a long pause, the wise mentor answered "You must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life." After writing down that lesson, John asked "Now what else is there?" Another long pause and then the answer came "There is nothing else." John states: "The lives of the hurry-sick lack simplicity. Hurried people cannot love. Today we have largely traded wisdom for information. Love and hurry are incompatible. Jesus was never in a hurry, not even one time. Solitude is the remedy for the busyness that charms." In my wallet, I carry a beautiful card with a serene picture of a house with a water wheel and Psalm 46:10. This serves as a constant reminder for me to be still to rest in the LORD. Jesus invites you to rest in Him. Accept His invitation! "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

Please bless the people receiving this message to be able to ruthlessly eliminate hurry from their own lives so that they may be spiritually healthy. May they be still to know that You are God so that they may experience Your deep and abiding love which can then be poured into the lives of many others. The Great Epiphany

This is a sign from God the Lion is about to ROAR!

EPIPHANY has been recognized for two thousand years as the day Jesus Christ was revealed to the Gentiles! "Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD'S, and He will give you into our hands." (1 Samuel 17:47)

Dear Wanda, January 6, 2021 was a historic day in a historic time. It was the Epiphany in Western Christianity, celebrating the visit of the magi to the Christ Child, and thus Jesus' physical manifestation to the Gentiles. It was the day the U.S. Senate and House met to publicly consider the Electoral College votes for our next President. January 6 was also the day the massive "Stop the Steal" rally took place on the Capitol Mall. In addition, January 6, 2021 was the 20th anniversary of me committing my life to Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and knowing my purpose to be a great salesman for the Word of God (the holy Bible) and Jesus (Messiah). This is a sign from God the Lion is about to ROAR! What is God saying to His people in the midst of the storm and chaos? BE STILL and know I AM (Psalm 46:10) SHALOM. Be in PEACE. Peace is a weapon. BE in Me. BE in Christ. The battle is the Lords (1 Samuel 17:47 and 2 Chronicles 20:15) 1 Samuel 17:47 "Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD'S, and He will give you into our hands." 2 Chronicles 20:15 And he said, "Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: 'Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's."
