Grace, and peace to you Wanda,
Solving the abortion crisis involves much more than passing good laws!
Make no mistake about it, I am 100% pro-life from conception to grave.
Yet, I also realize that no matter how good our laws are, they cannot solve most of our problems. What we need are real and practical solutions for girls or women facing unplanned pregnancies.
When a woman has an unplanned pregnancy, many scary or difficult factors kick in:
- The biological father or woman's parents may think having a baby will ruin the rest of the woman's life, or worse yet, their lives.
- Concerns may arise about the financial costs of raising and supporting a baby
- The woman's educational and work opportunities may be severely interrupted
- Fear, anxiety, guilt, shame, hopelessness, anger, or confusion may feel overwhelming
A mother with an unplanned pregnancy faces an overwhelming decision, "Do I keep the baby, have an abortion, or give it up for adoption?"
The mother's decision will impact her life (and the life of her baby) forever.
Many women with unplanned pregnancies do not want to get an abortion, but they feel like they don't have any other options.
If you have a strong desire to see abortions end (or at least markedly decrease), then we invite you to our ground-breaking Justice Network webinar on Mon Jan 31 at 10 am Eastern.
Our special guest is Jim Wright, Founder and President of Birthmother Ministries. Jim is passionate about helping women facing unplanned pregnancies.
During this broadcast, you will hear stories from diverse perspectives of an adoptive parent, a child given up for adoption, and a birthmother.
As America grows closer to abolishing Roe v. Wade and more and more states limit abortions, there will be an influx of children in need of adoption. We need to be ready with open arms and loving hearts to receive these precious babies. Part of this preparation is getting rid of old mindsets concerning adoption.
