Dear Wanda, Have you ever received a gift, but you couldn't get it out of the packaging? Either it was impossible to open or you risked bodily injury cutting through the plastic shell. Frustrating, right! Unfortunately, this is the situation that many face when they think about "the anointing." It has been wrapped in so many layers of "packaging," whether wrong teaching, misunderstanding of its purpose, or mystery about whom it is for, or how to use it that many Christians who are hungry to move in God's power can't get past the packaging to use it! Ephesians 2:10 says You are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that you should walk in them." Every commissioning and every assignment by God comes with a promised anointing to see it fulfilled. God didn't just prepare the wonderful things for for you to do, but He also gave you His power to fulfill them. It doesn't matter if you aren't in a traditional "ministry" setting or not. You may be working in an office-setting, or be a business owner, a home-maker, artist, or hold governmental office. Whatever your role and wherever your sphere of influence, God has given you an assignment and the anointing to advance His Kingdom with His presence in power. Without the anointing, we remain ordinary and frustrated. But with His anointing, all things are possible. The anointing is available for you to fulfill your unique expression of God's handiwork.
