What is THE Key to increasing in Your Anointing? RELATIONSHIP! "Yet the news about Him spread all the more so that the crowds of the people came to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses, but Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." (Luke 5:15-17)

Dear Wanda, Jesus, the Messiah, literally, "the anointed One," often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. As James shared in his webinar last week, this passage illustrates just how important relationship is to the flow of the anointing and His power in your life. If it was necessary for Jesus, it's necessary for you. The anointing isn't a WHAT. It's a WHO. It is the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ manifesting Himself by grace. Sometimes this grace is circumstantial. This is an enablement that is not necessarily in your regular gifting, but comes ON you in a moment for a specific purpose. For instance, you may suddenly move in power for miracles or have a word of wisdom and knowledge, but these are not spiritual gifts that you normally operate in. Then, there's an abiding anointing. This is the Presence that is residential IN you. It is a well that you can draw from at all times. It's what we see in Jesus' life when the Holy Spirit descended as a dove and REMAINED. Circumstantial anointings can be powerful moments in God's presence, and you want to welcome the anointing of God however and whenever He comes. But we don't just want an occasional anointing. We need to learn how to abide–to be in constant communication with the Person of the anointing, hearing His voice, feeling His heart, responding to His Presence. Rodney Howard Browne, a modern-day revivalist prophesied, "The great men and women of God that I am using in the earth today are not being used because they are something special. I am using them for one reason and one reason alone. It's because they've touched Me and I have touched them." Have you touched God's heart?
