Dear Wanda,
Just think about it, Ruth the Moabitess was a destitute widow and an outcast in every sense of the word. God had forbidden Israel to even allow a Moabite to enter their assembly. But Ruth laid hold of a vision–she saw something special about the God of Israel and His people–and refused to let go. It changed her story from curse to blessing, and she entered into the lineage of Jesus
Talk about re-writing your story!
Tamar and Rahab may have engaged in a shady profession. But they recognized the call of God on the family of Israel and risked all to participate in God's mission. They too are listed in Jesus' natural family-line.
What do Tamar, Rahab, and Ruth have in common with you? It just took ONE PERSON with God's vision to change the destiny of their family for eternity.
As Greg Gunn shared in his off-the-charts webinar this week, that's the power of having a family vision.
Vision sets the course and gives you the passion, discipline, and determination to reach the goal no matter what–and it has GENERATIONAL impact.
This is the kind of vision God wants to impart to you for your family. But it's not a fleeting idea or a prophetic word to jot down in your journal. It is a TREASURE to cultivate and pass down as part of your family's spiritual inheritance and identity.
God has a unique call and redemptive purpose not only for you, but for your family.
You have the opportunity to become the first generation to write what God says about your family and cast His vision, mission, and purpose to shape your future and the future of generations to come.
To paraphrase Habakkuk 2:3, "Put it in writing. What I show you will come true."
It doesn't matter your past history, YOU can get God's vision and write the end of your family's story!
