- This topic of serpents is woven all throughout Scripture. It is part of our Great Commission. We are called to "take up serpents" (Mark 16:18) and "walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them" (Luke 10:19).
- It is crucial for you to expose and deal with any hidden serpent spirits that may have insidiously infiltrated your life. These spirits could be quietly causing damage on multiple levels - emotionally, physically, and even financially.
- It's no coincidence that the first manifestation of a demonic is the snake in the garden.
- These serpents are out to harm our bodies, marriages, finances, ministries, churches, etc.
- It is the Great Commission for every believer to become snake hunters!
- Snakes and witches work together. Witches curse, and the serpents carry out the curse.
- The strategy we can use against the serpents is found in the Cross, the Courts of Heaven, the fire of God, and Communion.
- We have the legal right to release judicial decision against these serpents so that they can no longer harm us! They are criminal because Jesus has already become a curse on our behalf and has destroyed the works of the enemy.
- One of the first prophecies about Jesus talked about Him crushing the head of the serpent (Gen. 3:15). Where does the crushing take place? On the Cross.
- We have the authority to enter the Courts of Heaven because we are already seated in Heavenly places (Eph. 2:6). We can bring judicial decision against the serpents when we enter the Court of Heaven.
- When we have something in common with the enemy, he can gain power over us and bite us. Our sin grants him this entry.
- We can give the serpent legal right through misuse of our mouth. This is why we must avoid complaining, gossiping, judging, becoming bitter and angry, etc.
- We can also give serpents entryway through our idols. Idols in your life allow witchcraft to curse you, and then the serpent carries out the curse.
- Communion is a vital part of defeating these demonic serpents. It refreshes, nourishes, and strengthens because we do it in remembrance of Jesus and the cross. It is on the cross where the serpent was crushed.
- Fire is another way you can release power against these serpents. The Holy Fire -- God's presence -- drives serpents out of hiding!
- Praying in tongues, basking in God's presence, and praising God can drive the serpent out of hiding so that you can identify it.
- The more we engage in communion, pray in tongues, and bask in God's presence through His fire, the more the serpents will begin to lose their authority!
- Jesus can burn the chaff inside of us with unquenchable fire. This is the chaff (bitterness, envy, abandonment, hate, rejection, depression, etc.) that's been allowing the snake to reside within us in the first place!
- Moses had to be delivered from the serpent before he could go and deliver Israel from Egypt. We, too, must be delivered from serpents if we hope to deliver others.
- Leviathan is the king of pride.
- You cannot bind and rebuke Leviathan! Instead, you must take him to the court.
- Pythons squeeze the life out of you, your finances, churches, your dreams, etc. This serpent can cause people to be unable to hear from God and can lead to panic attacks.
