- Comparing is one of the enemy's tricks that we all fall into. The goal of enemy is to get us isolated--to make us feel like we don't belong--through comparison and contrast.
- The enemy wants to to cut us off from our destiny and to hinder us from moving in our spiritual gifts.
- The gifts of the Holy Spirit are meant to function within a Body of believers.
- We must continually flow in the Spirit. Theer is a river of God, and everywhere it goes it produces life!
- Gifts must be used actively! You cannot be passive, hoping that the Spirit will move you in some way. You need to stir yourself up.
- The gifts are always present within the life of a believer and can always be activated. "If you don't lose it, you'll lose it" is an UNGODLY belief!
- The signs will accompany those who GO! Not on those who sit around and wait.
- God waits for His people to go forth so that He might demonstrate the power of the cross of Christ and impart life to believers and nonbeilelves alike. Signs follow believers who GO!
- There are a variety of expressions of the Holy Spirit.
- There is no single "right way" for our gifts to be used and expressed. Jesus used mud to heal the blind, but that doesn't mean that is the only way that the blind become healed!
- God wants to use the nearest available person to accomplish His purpose throughout the world.
- There is one God and many expressions!
- Spiritual gifts are tools of love. They are channels of God's love. Believers must practice using them! No one will be an expert on the first try. There is risk involved.
- You must be willing to look stupid and fail sometimes. Nothing is guaranteed except that the Holy Spirit will help you, even when you are stepping out in your ignorance!
- We need each other's gifts! No one can exercise their gifts alone. We flourish in community.
- Practice does enhance the maturity level. Practice brings increase, but not perfection.
