Loving our enemies does not mean denying trauma, pain, or offense. Loving enemies requires God's supernatural grace and power. God has called you to be FREE. The process of learning to love your enemy will work to free you even as it works to free your enemy to be the child of God they were created to be. What would happen if we began to chase our enemies with the love of God? What would happen if we focused on protecting our enemies from hell instead of thinking they belonged there? With radical love comes a radical move of the Holy Spirit. The Son died for us while we were enemies. This is the highest revelation of God's love. We look the most like the Sons and Daughters we are called to be when we love our enemies like God does. Loving enemies if the LOVE LANGUAGE of GOD. It is in the darkest places that we often discover the nature and love of God if we will open our hearts to partner with Him. Hagar was persecuted by Sarai and sent away according to the cultural norms of that day. In her pain, God reveals Himself as El Roi - God who sees and cares. God has an answer to turn even the darkest cultural practices into a vehicle to reveal His redemption. When you learn to love your enemy the authority in your own heart will shift, and then the authority will be there to change the world. You can be a Son of Issachar and understand the times and seasons, but without love, there will be a disconnect on what to do. Agreeing with someone is not the same a loving them. Loving your enemy does not make rational sense, but it opens the door for God's supernatural intervention. There was so much more in Marcus' message.
