THE SIGNIFICANCE OF HANUKKAH In the past month, I have come to appreciate the significance of Hanukkah, a Jewish festival commemorating the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire. It is also known as the Festival of Lights and the Feast of Dedication. Historically, Hanukkah celebrates the cleansing of the temple so God's light can shine. That is precisely what we need right now in America and around the world. The very first Awakening that Empower 2000 hosted on Dec 3-5, 2018, happened to start on the first day of Hanukkah. Our current Awakening happened to start on Dec 14, 2020, a historic day in God's calendar: - Half-way point in the Hanukkah Celebration (12/10-12/18/2020)
- Exact midpoint between two total solar eclipses going across entire USA (8/21/2017 and next one 4/8/2024)
- The Electoral College met on Dec 14 to elect the next United States president. Election outcome may not be decided until 3rd week of January 2021.
We need as much light as possible in our world right now. Come join us to shine brighter and spread the fire. |
