Sabbath Inspiration: Ignite your Heart to Dream Again

Let go of the former things and step into the new God has for you!

Rediscover God's Dream for Your Life Jesus has more to draw out of you that you could ever imagine! Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. (Psalm 139:16)

Dear Wanda, Shabbat Shalom! My greatest passion is to see people awakened to discover God's dream for their lives. He created each one of us with a purpose in mind. In fact, Psalm 139:16 says God has a book where He wrote all the days of your life before one of them even came into being!

The Apostle Paul admonishes believers, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Many people live their lives following a good or even acceptable plan, but they have never discovered God's PERFECT will - that place where your heart is aligned with passion and fire because you are fulfilling the ultimate purpose–the Dream God has for your life. Circumstances, hardships, opposition from naysayers, or lack of direction for how to get from where you are to where you feel called to be can all be ways the enemy steals God's dreams from our lives. If that's you, it's time to dream again. Why is this important? Because your dream is about more than just you!

When you discover (or rediscover) God's dream and pursue it with passion and on fire for God, doing what He created you to do, you step into position to transform the culture and community where you live. It's about aligning with God so we align with what He wants to release in the earth through His awakened, empowered, and fiery Bride. That's why I am so excited to share with you this session from our Pentecost Awakening gathering. Dr. Joseph Umidi, Executive Vice President of Regent University and one of the most significant influencers in my journey to fulfilling God's dream, shares how the Lord set him on a course to discover his dream and gave him a blueprint to help you find yours. It is called the Dream Fire Experience, and you will be hard-pressed to listen to his message and the testimonies of the Empower 2000 Legacy Dream Team leadership and not come away on fire! Here are a few highlights from the session with Dr. Joseph Umidi, Michael Weiss, and Legacy Dream Team facilitators: Many times people aren't willing to let go of the past because the future is not clear. Every dream from God will get tested along the way. People have trouble believing something that is big - unbelief, naysayers, and obstacles will always try to quench your dream. To break out of the norm always requires a dream. Don't let the world steal your dreams; remember you are the child of a King! Dr. Umidi birthed the Dreamfire experience out of seeking to restore people whom the enemy had robbed of God's purpose and passion. Dreamfire is a movement to release people to realize their dreams and enable them to impact and release the dreams of others. The heart of the Father is revealed in Jesus–who pulled the best out of people. Dr. Umidie examined the 100 questions he found Jesus asked that brought the people he encountered into life-altering transformation. Coaching certification is not for everyone–it is expensive and time-consuming. The DreamFire experience is an Affordable, Accessible, Achievable alternative to full coaching curriculum that brings results. How long are we willing to wait and work toward the dream God has called us to fulfill? Abraham's journey to Canaan was a dream first birthed in his father, Terah (Genesis 11:31). Sometimes our dream is finishing a calling on our family line. Abraham was instructed to "Go to the place I will show you." Sometimes following God's dream is a day-by-day walk of faith before we get the full revelation of what He has called us to do. Moses was given a call to free God's people and the warning God would harden Pharaoh's heart. Are you willing to face the trials to see God's purpose fulfilled? God commissioned Moses to build a Tabernacle in the wilderness. He showed him the True Tabernacle in the heavenlies. The design for his assignment was already built in the heavenly realm. Our dreams are God's current reality. If you build it, He will come. Moses had the blueprints of heaven. God specifically gifted craftsmen with the skill and artistry necessary to build according to His pattern. Dreams require teams and networking to meet those who have the skills to build what God has given you the dream to create. Paul got God's dream to reach Rome with the gospel through the visitation of an angel. In the years that followed, he endured hardship, prison, shipwreck, and beatings, but he held to God's dream and even leveraged his arrest and imprisonment as a vehicle to see it come to pass. The Dreamfire experience is a process. Jesus has more to draw out of you than you could ever imagine. You will develop the community and prayer partners that will walk with you through the battles that come with every dream. The small group participation is like a campfire, where you share your stories, hear your dreams, and fuel the passion of one another to keep moving forward with boldness and courage. You could be the key that the Lord uses to unlock the depths buried inside another. You are here for such a time as this. Let go of the former things, you are in a new season and new era. Potential + Purpose = God's Presence. The Lord is with you. Allow His creativity to guide you. Come up higher above the chaos and noise. God has great plans for you. Stir up the gift. You are a carrier of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Come out of the old seasons of trial and into the new of your purpose. God is calling you out like He called Lazarus from the grave. The sky is not falling, the kingdom is coming. The sky is not the limit–it's just the beginning. There is gold inside each one of you. PRAYER POWER Abba (Father), I desire to discover Your good, acceptable, and perfect will for my life. I repent for where I have allowed the dream busters of fear, trials, and the opposition of others to steal Your dreams from my life. I ask for fresh vision and direction to take the limits off and dream BIG with You. Renew my mind to see with Your eyes the things You desire to fulfill through my life. Awaken my heart to Your call, and cut away the dead things I have held onto in the past. I choose this day to let go of the former things and step forth in faith and expectation of the new season You have for me. Thank You, Jesus, for Your power to redeem, restore, and recreate me through the power of Your blood. I desire to go higher in You. Amen.
