Dear Wanda, One of the powerful illustrations John shared in his webinar, "How to Align Your Life for the Miraculous," was that of a dimmer on a light switch. When you dim the lights in your living room, resistance is added to the circuit so that less power reaches the bulb. The result is a softer glow. While this is great when you want to lower the lights or change the ambiance of a room, it's not great if you are talking about the flow of God's power through you. In the same way that electricity flows through the circuitry of your home, each one of us is a conduit for the Holy Spirit to move through in power. When you are in alignment for miracles, all you have to do is flip the switch and let the Spirit flow. But most of us have different resistors in our line that hinder what God wants to do. Some of this comes from ungodly beliefs or mindsets out of sync with the Father. Other times, the resistance could be sin issues or wounded areas in our soul. Sometimes it is knowing the Word of God but not being familiar with the Ways of God. Finally, fear or insecurity about your identity and calling can put a serious hitch in moving forward in God's power. Regardless of the source, resistance will diminish the flow of power you are experiencing in your life –whether receiving or ministering miracles. What most of us lack is not more knowledge or spirituality! It is availability. Moving in miracles is learning how to yield to the Holy Spirit and make yourself available to Him through His Word and relationship. He will lead you into alignment with your purpose and destiny. He will shine His light on any hindrances to His flow. He will start to speak to you with revelation, words of knowledge, and direction to release His anointing. The more you yield every aspect of your life to His leading, the more you will see His power, authority, and miracles manifest through you.
